Fiber-to-the-antenna (FTTA) is a broadband network architecture in which the high frequency and power electronics are taken from the based station and located at a remote radio-head (RRH), a based fiber optic system that converts digital signals into analog, close to the antenna and fiber optic is used to join the RRH to the base station in new and old antennas.

FTTA solutions are designed for installation indoor or outdoor, are cable and connector vendor independent, and support a variety of RRH deployments. Fiber-to-the-antenna (FTTA) is a wireless site architecture where optical fiber is run all the way up the tower to replace much of what was traditionally completed with heavier coax cabling. Important components such as remote radio units (RRUs) are also positioned at the top of the tower instead of at the base location.

In a FTTA configuration, a baseband unit (BBU) situated near the bottom of the tower is connected via a fiber optic feeder and runs to a remote radio head (RRH) positioned near the antennas at the top of the tower. The RRH converts the digital signals to analog, and the short span between RRH and antenna is still completed using traditional coax cabling.

This range comes with

  • FTTA Cables
  • IP67 MST BOX
  • Waterproof Connectors
  • Fiber-to-the-Antenna Cabling

FTTAHybrid Cable Solutions can connect multiple RRUs and power-to-signal distribution boxes with one assembly and maximize tower real estate, freeing up space for additional equipment. Currently,  telecommunication operators have to install multiple cable assemblies in towers, taking up a great deal of time and increasing labor costs.

Fiber Optic MST Terminal Box/FTTA Waterproof Box/FTTX Enclosure is a new economic fiber distributed solution for outdoor use. Compare to traditional products, FTTX Enclosure is easy to operate and has high compatibility. It can be used for wall-mounting, an aerial installation or holding pole installation, based on different situations. FTTX Enclosure not only used in FTTH field but also used in FTTA or other harsh environments. It has features:

  • Hardened connectors are factory-terminated and environmentally sealed for use in optical drop cable deployments
  • Plug-and-play adapter ports ensure rapid cable installment in the outside plant access section of the network
  • Multiport Service Terminals incorporate hardened connector technology that is designed to withstand the rugged outside plant environment

We also accept private labeled FTTA solution to meet customer's brand requirement.
